FAQs
Is an EMDR intensive right for me?
Our free screening process helps determine if intensive therapy matches your needs and readiness. We assess your current situation, trauma history, and support systems to ensure our programme will benefit you. Residential intensives work best for those ready to engage deeply with their healing journey in a condensed timeframe.
Who is the programme NOT suitable for?
While our intensive approach is effective for many, it may not be suitable for individuals in acute crisis, those with severe dissociative disorders requiring stabilisation first, or people currently dealing with active substance dependence. If you're unsure, our screening call will help determine the right approach for you.
What support is available after the programme?
Your healing journey doesn't end when you leave our programme. We provide comprehensive integration guidelines and can arrange follow-up sessions as needed. Many clients continue working with their regular therapist, now equipped with new insights and processing tools.
How does ACC funding work?
We collaborate with ACC sensitive claims. Funding can be sought through your lead provider. Submit an enquiry to receive more information about the funding process.
How often do programmes run?
Our residential programmes run bi-monthly throughout the year. We recommend booking your screening call 3-4 weeks before your preferred programme date to ensure appropriate preparation.
What makes residential treatment different?
The immersive environment removes daily stressors and creates a space dedicated solely to healing. This allows for deeper processing without interruption, supported by therapists, supporting staff, nature, and a small community of fellow participants.
